Weekend Birds

Birds are the most successful group of flying ...Image via Wikipedia
Once upon a time, I was going to upload some pictures of my weekend to post. Alas, my camera has an attitude or something and that is not happening.

It was nice weekend. Plenty of hot. Friday, I did not do much but work. I think I went to the co-op. They have some Macintosh apples there that I like.

Saturday was a trip to the Farmer's Market and the library in the morning. I am on a fiction binge. After years (about 4) of reading 99.9% non-fiction, I am a bit burnt out on it. I have a Nick Hornby book, Juliet, Naked in my possession(amongst many other good books) and I am loving it.

Later, we went out. We got some wonderful and spicy seafood. While we were out on the restaurant patio we saw some birds out on the water. Today, I looked up the creatures, as best I could, in my field guide(I'm NERD). It turns out there were mallards, a swan, some Canadian geese and maybe some gadwells(I did not get a good look at all of them) out there.

Oh and there were all those details and events in-between. Some too insignificant and others too intimate to share but all the crazy and the delight made it what it was.

  1. Oooh. A fiction binge. I remember the days when my attention span was long enough. Le sigh.

  2. I am becoming a skimmer. I'll never be tested on the books(I hope).
