Inspiration and Work

Lately, I have been thinking about what fuels me. What feeds my soul? It's no secret that I like to make things and write but what does that mean?

I just like the idea of working on something. I don't think I have the dedication/skill set for being a "traditional" writer and/or artist. A finished product here and there seems nice.

Three Things that I am Currently Working on Finishing
1)a heart shaped embroidery
2)a dream board
3)multi colored knit blanket(still).

Three Things Currently Fueling Me
1)The way the sunlight streams through my living room windows.
2)Big Trees with empty branches.
3)Sitting in my chaise doing nothing. I am currently taking a t.v. fast.

What are you working on? What's Fueling you?

  1. Hi Keishua! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and sharing your word...JOY. I love this word too. Just do what you LOVE and everything else will fall into place. Try not to think about it too much. Just do what you love... You also have a good eye for photos! Enjoyed looking through your blog!

And I am a Wishcasting Wednesday groupie too! Though I just found that site in Sept, I have had some good writing and blog posts from these prompts! A chance to write and blog when I don't have any art to post.

Wishing you Love, Peace, Prosperity and lots of writing and art in 2011!
    xoxo Valerie

  2. Thanks for the post on my blog! It is nice to meet you. I like your list. What fuels me right now--the views of mountains from my home (we just moved), my children's need for artwork in their room (thus what I am working on), and my desire to create. I look forward to stopping by again!

  6. Excellent question - let me see...
1)lying in bed looking at the bare trees and catching my reflection in them from the lamp and thinking I'm a druid.
    2) going on adventures with my step-dot - pagan solstice, or the market.
    3) keeping to my disciplines of writing, walking and meditating daily.

  7. I love your sources of inspiration, Keishua :) So beautiful.

I have quite a few unfinished projects myself and the new year reminds me that it's time to tend to them. What fuels me currently is the knowledge that I am the only one standing in my way of making things happen. I have big dreams for 2011 and I'm going to do my darndest to make them happen :)

I think it's wonderful you are choosing this time to complete things you may have allowed to slip. I wish you the best of luck getting it all finished!

  8. @cornflakegirl- I am trying to complete them as I write this...It is strange how much we can stand in the way of our own goodness. I can't wait for all the awesome you hope for to manifest.
@Jan- Those are great fuelers. Walking, mediating especially. I am also a fan of lying in bed daydream. It really is good for the soul.
@Indie.Tea.-Yes, I can't wait to try some of that tea. I need to place an order, soon.
@kimbirdy-That's awesome-there is nothing like the fire of a dream coming true!! Oh, I love me some chai.
@Diana-Sometimes, it the little things that get us through the day.
@Carrie-Oh, I love the mountains. There is something so serene and special about in them. I always get tons of inspiration when i am in the mountains.
@valerie-great advice. Life has the tendency to run itself without my direction. I really enjoy wishcasting. It is a great way to meet new people and to be inspired by your dreams and the dreams of others.
