Lately, a certain word has been floating around. It has pipped my attention. I am not certain what I will do with this word: relig-ish but it speaks deeply to what my life is trying to articulate.
It is always risky to be unorthodox. However, as any pilgrim knows there is time and place for everything-tradition and rebellion.
At the heart of it, it's about living. I mean really living, not going through the motions, not following your neighbor but radically opening to what is real.
It makes me happy to know that other people are traveling this road, too.
I think it is true, we are never alone. We just need to remember to light our love, so others can find us.

Spending way too much time looking here.

P.S. The photos above are from this weekend. I think they sum things up nicely.

ReplyDeletei love that - a time for tradition and rebellion. i left my religion {and christianity as a whole} after deciding i wanted a deeper, more well-rounded experience with god. it was the best decision i ever made.

ReplyDeleteoh, you are too, sweet. I really appreciate your kindness.
ReplyDeleteI've always called myself spiritual. I never had a good word for what I believe or who I am. I know the things in the core of my heart don't belong to any one religion and I find inspiration in several different places. It really is nice to know there are other people on this strange and wonderful journey.
