"We have to dare to be ourselves, however frightening or strange that self may prove to be." — May Sarton
Yesterday was a strange day. I felt a little lost. I went outside for a little walk and reading to clear my mind. Then I got down to writing. In writing, I found myself(for the moment). There were many strong emotions flowing through my body but underneath it all was love. Even in times of fear, heartbreak or uncertainty there it stands. Love comes in many forms. Lately, for me love is about paying attention to this life. It's about cradling goodness close and not turning from heartache.Today, I want to remind myself of what I already know.
-It's okay to be happy.
-It's good to wander.
-Honor your feelings.
-Passion is needed.
-Practice feeds your life.
-Turning cartwheels keeps you playful.
-Red shoes + sun = adventure.
-Ask for help.
-Cheering for others can cheer you up.
-Love comes in many forms.
-Kindness can change the world.
-Write like it matters because it does.
-If you know it your bones, it just might be true.
-Be awesome.
-You are never alone.
What do you need to remind yourself of today?
Its amazing how much just putting our thoughts on paper makes us step outside our misery and be reminded that life really is good <3
ReplyDeleteSuch thoughtful and pretty much essential reminders. Thank you for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteI need to sit still more often and think/write/be instead of running around all the time.
i saw a quote yesterday over at Yogi Crystal's blog that said, "Lost is just another word for exploring." Somehow, this seems quite perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteThis was very heartwarming :) I love the title.

you're so wise! those are all really important life things. lately i've been reminding myself of how awesome, smart, and capable i am. it gets tough being out of a job for such a long time, getting an interview maybe once a month for jobs i KNOW i would rock, but still not getting anything. i know it's a matter of time, but in the meantime, i have to remind myself that i'm good enough, smart enough, and doggonit, people like me.
ReplyDeletei love the wisdom in this post. and such wonderful photos.

I'm always reminding myself of things. Today, the most important is to be awake for my own life. School can make me so sleepy sometimes. (And thank you for linking up to my post!)
