“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions”~Rainer Maira Rilke
I hope your weekend was quite sweet. This word is popping up a lot in my life: Patience. Honestly, I have always felt waiting was burdensome. Now I see that it can be a rich experience, if I let it transform me. Who will I be on the other side of this waiting? Who will you be?
What question(s) are you living today?
What a wonderful Rilke quote. I've been on the search for quotes for a tattoo I'm considering getting on my wrist and I'd like one from a German poet/philosopher and RMR has come up quite a bit so this post is very timely for me :)
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time being patient myself. But on the other side of waiting makes the journey all the more worthwhile.
Patience is something that I need to work on as well. But, in time I'll learn.
ReplyDeletelove that quote. x
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about my road trip is I get a lot of quiet time to ask myself questions. I've been recording things as I go. And I've been learning a LOT about myself.

ReplyDeleteUgh, I'm so not a patient person. I just want the final result like NOW :). So I've been trying to recognize my impatience and set it aside and just focus on making progress. It's a long (and ironic) process, but I think it'll make me more successful in the long run. Good luck to you in your quest.
ReplyDeleteah yes patience. definitely something i need to work on. a lot of impatience stems from fear and lack of trust. if i trust life will take care of me, maybe i will grow a little more patient.
ReplyDeleteyes, practice makes perfect.
ReplyDeleteoh, it is a lovely quote. hope you use it.
ReplyDeletei love that quote :) i just might steal it for my blog :)
