Love Yourself

Love yourself first, and everything else falls in line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world. – Lucille Ball

To be honest, I am a little tired these days, I've been trying to be gentle with myself. So, I am taking it easy as much as I can. I realize that I am very project oriented girl and that is good. I really love taking on projects. I just need to not add any more for a bit.

At times, like this I know that I need to take a some time for self-care{L STYLE}.

So:

I will be attempting to catch up on my pleasure reading. I especially want to finish reading this article., this book and this super cool blog.

Watching reruns of this show.

Knitting.

Lay on comfy pillow and let the stillness wash over me.

Did I mention:

There is a slight hint of fall in these parts{it comes and goes}. So, I am looking forward to some of my favorite fall activities: bread making and tea {maybe matte} in bed. Oh and the leaves!

What are some ways that you practice self-care?

  1. Mmm, these activities all sound so very soothing. Enjoy your downtime, may it nourish and replenish you. I think I could use a few episodes of MTM myself. :)

  2. I am loving the sudden chill in the air the last few days... something about this time of year that always leaves me feeling rejuvenated. Hope you were able to get some knitting and relaxation done over the weekend, girl.

  3. good for you! self-care is vital, AND you deserve it! sounds like you have a great game plan.  i can't wait for autumn to arrive! i've been craving it a lot, even though it's still a ways away for those of us in CA. i can't wait for apples and pumpkins and scarves and sweaters. sigh...

  4. Now that the weather is getting a bit cooler, I can contemplate knitting again. Knitting makes for such great "me time."

  5. I hear you on the self care. I feel that I have more to do than ever, yet I'm more distracted. I just need to recognize the distraction and work through it. Good luck on your self-care!

  7. I can be so very hard on myself. I find indulging with good books is the best, and I make sure to always have one that is for fun and one to teach me something available. I need to find more ways to be good to myself though. I'm going to think about that this week.

  8. Allowing yourself to be still is so much easier said than done. It is something I need to "indulge" in as well. I put quotes on indulge because most people think it's a luxury when it's actually a necessity. (Great picture!)
