The fall is my favorite time of year but it can also wear me out. I have to be mindful of my mood as the days get shorter. So, I have assembled a little list of healing reminder for the fall to foster a dash of healing.
-Get some sun. I have found even 15 minutes a day can make a difference. If you are unable to be out in the sun, try a sun lamp.
-Build in walking or biking in your day. I try to do as many errands as possible by parking at a central location and walking. It's a great way to get exercise and sun.
-Lemon/ginger tea
Place 2 thin slices of lemon, 1/4 teaspoon of grated or ground ginger and 1 teaspoon of honey. Pour boiling water over the mixture. Let cool to your comfort and drink. Adapted from the
Rhythm of Family.
-Nurture compassion through meditation. Lately, I have been listening and practicing with
this cd.
-Eat grounding foods. This differs from person to person and even day to day. Lately, I've been craving kale and oatmeal.
-Rosemary hair products. I use a dash of
this. Rosemary is a natural mood booster, too.
-I'm of a firm belief that there is little a good laugh(or hug)can't cure. Laugh lots(hug more)
What are some of your favorite healing activities for fall?
P.S. I hope to be back to blogging and visiting soon. Bear with me.
