life here

“I am an act of kneading, of uniting and joining that not only has produced both a creature of darkness and a creature of light, but also a creature that questions the definitions of light and dark and gives them new meanings.~Gloria E. Anzaldua

life here:

first two ripe tomatoes with a touch of salt.
evening jazz: san diego's jazz and WPFW.
following along with liz lameroux's read along.

walks in a "swamp". trust me i've got the mosquito bites to prove it.
garlic scape pesto. a .95 cent investment that rocked my world.

trips to the library. i love to have my trips be a mix of browsing and picking up holds.
reading{see above}: girl in translation, the yoga teacher and cook food.
giving myself with a daily yoga practice. lots of these two poses.

trying to stay open. when it feels easier to shut down.
reminding myself that i'm a work in progress.
enjoying the small miracles like fresh tomatoes, garden-fresh basil and hugs.

what's it looking like in your "here"?

  2. I do love fresh tomatoes.  SO much.  So that is my everyday, with the tomatoes.
Also music & air from the outdoors (open windows or getting OUT)
    & planning healthy meals
filling up my love CUP with hugs from children and dishing out more love to those I love

and life here is muggy & hot today with a little bit of melancholy

regrets poke their heads in but I shoo them away...no time for them. xoxo

it's best to shoo those regrets away. they take up too much time, anyways.
