this morning i put my yoga practice on pause andLove cultivates the soil of my heartplanting sacred seeds in its garden~Nan C. Merrill
instead went outside and greeted the day
with a cup of tea and silence
it was not quite in my plans for this morning
but it is what i needed.
it is funny, how a slight break from routine
can be so refreshing?
do you shake up your morning routine from time to time or do you like to keep it the same?
.
I love small little changes in routine.
ReplyDeleteI will get up and either write or do yoga- it just depends on how I feel. And sometimes, like you, I will simply sit with tea and dream. I think we know when we need a break, and it's so important to answer that call.
ReplyDeleteFunny. I just wrote about this myself. Sometimes it's necessary to take a break from the usual ritual, to do something that just feels GOOD because we want to. Hope you are well, girly. XOXO
ReplyDeleteWeekday mornings are always the same, though I vary the book I read on the elliptical and the bit of weight lifting I do at the gym. But I try to give myself some freedom on the weekends to be spontaneous and get out and do different things. That balance works really well for me.
ReplyDeletereading on the elliptical that's a good call.
ReplyDeletei hear ya. sometimes you just need to live outside your own rules.
ReplyDeletetea and dreaming-love it.
ReplyDeleteyou are a rare bird! i am starting to appreciate them more, too.
ReplyDeleteThat can sort of be described as meditation,eh? *sort of* like yoga? haha
ReplyDeletea slight difference but i hear what you are saying.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great summer, Keishua! XOXO
