things i am learning about myself

-i'm  a berry addict. i could eat berries every day. love them with bitter greens, bread, etc.
-i need to slow down
-but not too, much. some routine and activity is essential for my mental well-being.
-doing nothing is not for me. learning the difference between slowing down and doing nothing is my task.

-i should eat a big breakfast and lunch. i feel much better during the day when i eat a hearty breakfast wrap with my smoothie and have a substantial lunch.
-staying hydrated makes me happy
-i am not good at eating on the run. it messes up my digestion and makes me feel gross.
-i need some sunlight each day. real or artificial.

-i like things my way.
-but i am not afraid to compromise for the greater good.
-i'm a work in progress and that is not a failing.
-i'm more awesome than i give myself credit.

-i have so much to learn.
-discovering things makes me feel alive, curious and vibrant.
-there is nothing to fear.

what are you learning about yourself?

  2. As for things I'm learning about myself... I'm learning to be patient, kind, nurturing, and appreciative. Slowly. Day by day. But I'm getting there.

  3. I too am learning that I need to slow down, that I need to be more feminine and indulge in my pleasures (even the impractical ones), that I love to move my body and dance...

As for your breakfasts, maybe add some protein? I do eggs but beans work well too. There was a recent study done that showed eating protein helps you feel more full. I've been doing it for a week, and it's been fantastic.

  4.  i have been thinking more about the feminine more. the academic part of my mind has always thought it little new agey. however,  i think another part of me really want to live in a more embodied/feminine way.For the record, i think dancing is very practical and fun!!

p.s. i always try to have a protein source at each meal. i agree,  it does make you feel fuller.
