I have made no secrets about my love of tea on this blog. My tea shelf in the pantry is one of my favorite spots. This past year, my tea habit has tapered off to an extent. This Christmas, I got some tea ware and it has pushed me to use get back to my tea drinking.
One of the reason that I love a tea break is that is pulls me back to life. It take a moment to brew and steep a cup of tea and the first few sips need to be savored.
If I am honest-savoring-is something that I have not been very practiced. However, many things are about practice. Learning to savor a moment or a day takes practice.
Do this
Stop what you are doing. Close your eyes{if it’s safe}
Take a breath in, hold and then exhale {for three or six counts}
Open your eyes
Ease back in your day. Anytime you feel overwhelmed/out of sort repeat. Savor.
I am a tea lover here too! Those first few sips are the best.

ReplyDeleteAn important reminder. Thanks, Keishua. Just remembered I have tea in my drawer I can savor this morning, too. XOXO
ReplyDeleteLet's please do tea together sometime soon. We do need to celebrate your birthday, after all! I hear there's a good place in Alexandria, but I'm open to any adventure you have in mind.
